Pinay DH cries for help over abusive employer

Crying out of fear, a Filipina working overseas for a family in Taif, Saudi Arabia recorded a video message asking for help from broadcast journalist Erwin Tulfo to return to the Philippines.

In the video posted Tuesday, September 26, on her Facebook account, Luzminda Romulo describes how her male employer would follow her into her room whenever they were left alone in the house.

“Umakyat ako, ‘di ko alam na sinundan ako. Pumasok siya sa kuwarto ko. Magpapahilot daw siya,” Romulo said.

In another incident, she said her employer carried her to the bedroom after her female employer and the children left for school.

“Binuhat niya ako, gusto niya ako dalhin sa kuwarto pero sumagot ako,” she added.

Romulo said she is afraid that her female employer would find out about the incident.

Natatakot na po ako kung ano pa ang gagawin nya sa akin at natatakot ako magsumbong sa among babae baka magkagulo tapos hindi ibigay ang sahod,” she said.

She asked fellow overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) to share her video, to reach the journalist or her agency in the Philippines.
