Authorities nabbed a 69-year-old man in Batac City, Ilocos Norte for raping a 14-year-old girl twice.
Jose “Boy” Cuanang was arrested at his house on September 17 at Barangay Billoca in Batac City, ABS-CBN reported.
The report said the Regional Trial Court-Branch 18 of Batac decided that not to give Cuanang the option to bail because of the crime, which resulted in impregnation of the victim.
The girl, who has gave birth to a child, said Cuanang raped her twice.
The victim and her parents reported the incident to the police after the latter noticed the victim was pregnant.
