Detained and former senator Bong Revilla, Jr. appeared to be pleased for the release of ex-Jinggoy Estrada on bail soon.
“Speechless ako, parang syempre, I’m happy for him,” told Revilla.
Estrada was granted of the motion for bail after being denied the first time. A Sandiganbayan source confirmed a special division was created to hear Estrada’s new petition for temporary release.
Revilla and Estrada have been held in custody at a police headquarters since 2014 on allegations they were recipients of kickbacks from the misuse of the controversial Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF).
As for his case, Revilla said that his legal team may file for a similar motion, saying that he believes that “there’s still justice in our country.”
