Pinay balikbayan killed by motorcycle-riding gunners

A vacationing overseas Filipino worker (OFW) from Saudia Arabia was gunned down by unknown motorcycle-riding killers in Cabatuan, Isabela on August 20.

The victim was identified by the police as Jenny Constantino a 29-year-old OFW who arrived in the Philippines last month to spend her vacation.

According to Police Senior Insp. Francisco Tuddao, deputy chief of police of Cabatuan Police Station, Constantino went out with her niece who was identified as Josephine Ordonez to pick vegetables in Barangay Calaocan.

The masked gunman driving a motorcycle arrived at Constantino’s location, shot her repeatedly and fled the scene after the incident. Ordonez was unhurt from the shooting incident.

Ordonez said the gunman was wearing shorts and a bull cap.

Bombo Radyo has reported that Constantino filed a case against her former policeman husband after a marital conflict. She also has a 10-year-old daughter.

According to her relatives, the slain OFW was scheduled to go back to Saudi Arabia this September.

Police are now looking for possible motives that would lead Constantino’s untimely death.
