Airport police saves OFW from missing her flight

Indeed, no act of kindness is too small, especially in times of need.

Mary Jane Abalos, an overseas Filipino worker (OFW), was saved from spending thousands for booking a new plane ticket after almost missing a flight back to Bahrain on August 11 through the kindness of an airport police at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport 1.

Abalos, who arrived at a wrong airport terminal without a single peso at hand, narrated in a Facebook post that NAIA police Joebert Besonia lend her P20 to ride a bus going to the right airport terminal.

“I [salute] you, Sir. Tunay na maaasahan kayo sa gitna ng pangangailangan. This is the way I thank you for assisting me at the airport na hindi naghihintay ng kapalit,” Abalos said in a Facebook post.

Abalos’ post has been shared 3,282 times and has gathered 24,000 Facebook reactions.

“Sana marami pang pulis ang gaya mo. What you did, Sir, is a good role model for the next generation,” a netizen said.

Some of the Facebook users who praised Besonia for his kind act are OFWs.

“Thank you very much for helping our fellow OFW solve her problem. You are one in a million,” she said.
