PAL offers 50% off Wi-Fi upgrade on int’l flights

Passengers aboard flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) can stay connected in-flight for a much cheaper price as the airline announced on Thursday its value-added Wi-Fi connection offer on international flights.

Through the myPALWiFI upgrade plans, PAL passengers can have the first 30 minutes (or 15 MB) of wi-fi access for free and a 50 percent off for the rest of the flight.

“Before, it was merely 30 minutes or 15 MB free, and the cost of the (wi-fi) access for the rest of the flight is regular rate of USD 40,” a Philippine News Agency (PNA) report quoted PAL spokesperson Cielo Villaluna as saying.

The subscription plans will begin with a rate of USD 5 for 35 MB while the 150 MB plan will cost USD 20.

“This offer is the our way of demonstrating the ‘heartfelt service philosophy’,” PAL president and chief operations officer Jaime Bautista added.
