Dubai weather sees 100% rise in humidity levels today

An extremely thick fog enveloped the Abu Dhabi-Liwa Highway Tuesday morning.

Local weather reports said a slight 2C to 3C decrease in temperatures was forecasted in Dubai. However, this cannot be too noticeable as relative humidity will increase to more than 95 percent. Dubai’s humidity levels are expected to reach 100 percent.

The fog is caused by excess moisture in the atmosphere over coastal and internal areas, reported the Gulf News.

“Fair weather is expected in the UAE in the next few days. However it will be relatively hot during daytime,” the report read.

The National Center of Meteorology & Seismology confirmed the continuity of fog formation and poor visibility of less than 500 metres over some of the coastal and internal areas.

Sea will be moderate and might become rough at times to the west in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate in Oman Sea, said the weather bureau.
