Dubai citizens who have credit cards from Commercial International Bank (CIB) can now settle their traffic fines over a course of three, six or twelve months via interest-free installments, according to the Dubai Police
Officials announced on Friday that motorists who incurred traffic violations can now use their CIB credit cards to pay their fines in an arrangement that would not necessarily break the bank for them.
Despite the various settlements, the minimum payment to take advantage of the instalment plans, however, is Dh500.
All qualified people have to do is to download the Dubai Police app, or use the police website to pay their fines. Payments can also be made through service centers.
This new service is expected to launch within two weeks following an agreement signed by Dubai Police and the bank.
