A housemaid is currently under trial following the accusation of her employers regarding allegedly sexually abusing their 2-year-old son.
The 32-year-old Ethiopian lady appeared by the Court of First Instance on Tuesday as she faced criminal charges for inappropriately touching the little boy. Additionally, the maid was also accused of training the minor victim to touch and grope her, local outlets reveal.
As it turns out the molestation has been going on since October of 2013 until the nanny ran away from the family’s home after the boy started talking about what she was doing to him. And while the couple was still contemplating on what actions they would do, the house help suddenly left without giving them notice.
“After she ran from our home, we discovered what she had done towards our son affected his behavior. He would touch and bite women shoppers and female guests at our house just the way the maid had trained him to do with her,” the mother of the young boy recalled.
The court’s ruling on the matter will be known on May 21. -ALD
