OFW, employer killed over unpaid wages

Relatives of a 36-year-old overseas Filipino worker, who was killed in Jordan on February 5 along with her her employer, have sought the Philippines government to help repatriate her remains.
Felma Dalupang-Maramag, a native of Peñablanca town in Cagayan province, died from internal hemorrhage from beatings committed by two Jordanian workers, who attacked and killed her employer over unpaid wages and then attacked her too, said Apolinario Dalupang Jr., Maramag’s brother, reported Inquirer.
He reportedly said they learned about her death on Feb. 8.
The suspects also attempted to set the employer’s house on fire, but fled when the employer’s neighbors showed up, the report said.
Maramag’s two-year contract was about to lapse, and she was supposed to return home in March.
