UAE job market demand for tech skills increases

DUBAI: The UAE job market is witnessing a very high demand for tech skills as four out of the top five employers are looking to hire people with technological skills, according to a latest LinkedIn data.

There is also a high demand for ‘Public Policy and International Relations’ emphasizing the importance given by the UAE to judicial and international matters, Gulf News quoted the professional network’s report.

‘Corporate Law and Governance’ came in tenth place while ‘Renewable and Sustainable Energy’ made the list for the first time this year bringing credibility to the country’s 2020 vision, the report said.

Compiled from data over the year, starting from January, the professional network has published the top skills employers looked for in 2016.

The methodology used grouping of skills (from the professional profiles) and looked at the trends in hiring activity from January to September.

LinkedIn is celebrating the Week of Learning from October 24 to 30 with over 5000 courses from their learning academy, being offered free to professionals for this week, reported the news portal.
