Sharjah International Airport now offers free Wi-Fi

Sharjah:  Sharjah International Airport will be offering free access to high-speed internet connectivity, with the convenience of staying connected online for 30 minutes, and other options of different paid packages from Etisalat.

The facility was the follow up of an agreement signed between Sharjah International Airport represented by Ali Salim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Airport Authority and Etisalat Company represented by Abdul Aziz Taryam, CEO Advisor and General Manager-Northern Emirates, in the presence of Shaikh Faisal bin Saoud Al Qassimi, Director of Sharjah Airport Authority, reported Khaleej Times.

“Sharjah International Airport is keen to provide the best services for our passengers and airport users, there is no doubt that with the advanced technology we experience in our time, accessing the internet has become a necessity. With this, we are pleased to sign this agreement with Etisalat Company and launch free WiFi at Sharjah International Airport to keep our valued passengers and airport users connected,” Ali Salim Al Midfa reportedly said,

Abdul Aziz Taryam, CEO Advisor and General Manager-Northern Emirates, Etisalat, added that Etisalat enjoys a long history of important partnerships with various government entities in Sharjah.

“Our partnership with Sharjah International Airport, is an extension of this history and we are proud of this partnership, which reflects the strong confidence we have with the government sector. We are pleased to harness our technological and technical capabilities, knowledge and resources to support Sharjah International Airport and efforts in providing reliable, world-class communication experience that reflects the high standards of the UAE telecommunications sector.”

“We will work through this partnership on upgrading the infrastructure necessary to cover buildings and airport facilities with our network. We will also create wireless systems to allow travelers through the airport to stay in touch with their families and friends, and quality of the connection speed,” Taryam was quoted as saying by Khaleej Times.
