Vlogging: A medium to do extraordinary things for ordinary people

DUBAI: “Help doesn’t always require money. By just being with people and letting them feel they are not alone and that all the problems have solutions is enough.

Like me, I just share all the things that I am doing for my kabayans in Dubai via Youtube, I encourage them to help those who are in need,” said Junie Sudoy Sorsano, a prominent Pinoy vlogger on Youtube and nominee for TFT Media Personality of the Year 2016.

From being an ordinary Filipino seeking better opportunities here in Dubai as an OFW, Sorsano never imagined he will get this far in his career. “I’ve been sharing my videos on Youtube and Facebook for almost five years now and I have gained more than 6,078 subscribers and more than 20,000 followers in different pages on Facebook.

My videos have become viral – not only those taken in Dubai but also in other countries where there are Filipinos.

My followers enjoy my life story as an OFW in Dubai,” Sorsano said. He started as an ice cream scooper in Haagen-Dazs inside Dubai’s Airport Terminal 3 and was promoted as manager before finishing the contract.

He also worked as a supervisor at Zaroob Restaurant and later became a social media guru. Now, he is venturing into entrepreneurship while working as brand manager for Azure Lounge and Restaurant. Sorsano is actively campaigning to help more OFWs around the world, through vlogging.
