DUBAI: Firemen, including units from the Al Barsha and UAE Martyrs stations, jointly took part in putting out a small fire in a construction site along Sheikh Zayed Road on Monday, June 28.
The Dubai Civil Defense said workers at the site were safely evacuated and no injuries were reported.
“It was a small blaze. The call came in at 11:33am and the fire was put out by 12:14pm. The fire erupted in the insulation material on the roof of the building,” a civil defense spokesman was quoted as saying on Emirates 24/7.
Commuters who saw black smoke billowing from the site reported the incident on various social media platforms.
The fire fighting units quickly came to the site.
