DUBAI: In a price war to attract more customers to data, the UAE telecom provider du is giving away unlimited data for just Dh3 per day and for less than Dh100 a month.
The offer is valid only for limited time. Currently du’s postpaid plan starts to pay about Dh150 for 1GB data a month but also gives 300 local minutes free.
du was quoted as saying by Emirates 24/7that the offer was launched on January 8 and is valid for individual Pay As You Go, Alo and all individual postpaid customers as well as business postpaid customers.
du further said its new promotion will also provide internet at high speed to it subscribers.
The data allowance is for all types of data usage such as browsing, using social media, and watching videos on any smartphone, the report said.
Pay As You Go and Alo customers can subscribe by dialing *135*244# and are eligible to purchase the data pack once a day from their More Time balance. The Unlimited Daily Data offer is recurring so customers do not need to subscribe the next day, said the news portal.
Customers subscribed to any of the individual postpaid plans as well as Business postpaid customers – will also be able to take advantage of this exciting offer once the data allowance included in their plan has been consumed, Emirates 24/7 reported.
