The NBA has revealed that 48 players have tested positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
The league announced the news ahead of its new season and when players are preparing to come back.
Some 546 players have undergone COVID-19 swab test as part of its “initial return-to-market testing phase,” which kicked off between Nov. 24 and Nov. 30.
Those who tested positive for the virus will be placed in quarantine until they were given clearance by the league.
The NBA is facing a hard time in keeping its basketball bubble free from the coronavirus.
For now, teams will play in their home markets, individual workouts will start this week and group workouts on Sunday.
