Pacquiao to Mayweather: Don’t use my name for your publicity

Senator Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather stirred up social media anew when the Filipino boxing legend took a swipe at the American boxer for talking about possible rematch.

A video that has been making rounds on social media shows Mayweather talking about heading to Saudi Arabia to discuss a potential rematch between him and the “Pacman.”

“It’s an honor to come to Saudi Arabia to sit down with you guys to talk about the Mayweather-Pacquiao rematch. Saudi Arabia, Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather, I’m on my way,” Mayweather said in the video.

Pacquiao was quick to castigate Mayweather for supposedly using using his name for publicity.

“Looks like @FloydMayweather is using my name again to get himself some attention. #FunnyMoney,” Pacquiao posted on Instagram last ‪Monday night‬.

Boxing pundits, including the legendary Sugar Ray Leonard, believe that the two boxers should fight each other again.

The undefeated Mayweather scored a unanimous win over Pacquiao in May 2015.

Leonard is hoping to see the two boxers fight anew especially that Pacquiao was nursing a shoulder injury in their 2015 meeting.
