The Los Angeles Lakers are considering tapping free agent centers after DeMarcus Cousins suffered an ACL injury.
According to reports, the Lakers plan to conduct individual workouts with centers Dwight Howard, Joakim Noah and Marreese Speights.
Los Angeles is also considering Marcin Gortat.
Howard is under contract with Memphis but the Grizzlies are willing buy out his contract and allowed the player to talk with the Lakers.
Should the Lakers successfully bring in Howard, it will be his second tour of duty with the Lakers.
Howard played for Lakers in 2012-13 season where he averaged 17.1 points, 12.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 2.4 blocks a game.
At the time, Howard, however, didn’t get along with Lakers star Kobe Bryant and opted to move to the Houston Rockets the following season.
