San Miguel outlasts TNT to tie PBA Finals, 2-2

The San Miguel Beermen held off the TNT KaTropa, 106-101, to take Game 4 of the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup Best-of-Seven Finals on Sunday night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The hard-earned win allowed the Beermen to tie the Finals at two-all, reducing the series into a best-of-three affair.

Import Chris McCullough came up with a solid performance to lead San Miguel’s crucial win as he tallied 27 points and 22 rebounds with four assists, one steal and one block.

Alex Cabagnot fired 25 points for the Beermen, while June Mar Fajardo scattered 22 markers.

San Miguel led by as many 15 points but TNT threatened at 96-98 in the game’s final 40.3 seconds.

McCullough and Fajardo pumped in crucial points for the Beermen before Cabagnot and Chris Ross sealed the deal by hitting critical free throws.

Best Import awardee Terrence Jones led the KaTropa with 32 markers, 16 boards and six assists.

Troy Rosario added 24 points, while Best Player of the Conference winner Jayson Castro added 17.
