The Philippine Swimming League (PSL) hauled in a total of 11 gold medals at the 4th CSC Super Junior Swimming Invitational held at the Chinese Swimming Club Sports Complex in Singapore.
Manila Times reported that Tarlac City pride Triza Haileyana Tabamo and Masville National High School-Paranaque standout Marc Bryan Dula collected the country’s gold medals to win the Most Outstanding Swimmer awards in their respective age-bands.
Tabamo coped six mints to win the MOS plum in the girls’ 12-year category while Dula earned five gold medals en route to bagging the MOS trophy in the boys’ 12-year class, the Times further reported.
On the final day of the competition, Tabamo topped the 50m butterfly (30.69), 100m backstroke (1:13.19) and 50m freestyle (29.15) to add to her gold three-gold medal haul – 100m freestyle (1:4.68), 100m butterfly (1:09.39) and (50m backstroke (34.16) – in the opening day.
Tabamo also earned silver in the 200m freestyle (2:23.73) and bronze in the 200m Individual Medley (2:40.85).
Meantime, Dula wrapped up his campaign on a high note by winning the top honors in the 100m backstroke (1:09.70) and 50m butterfly (29.38).
He earlier won gold medals in the 50m backstroke (32.21), 100m butterfly (1:04.57) and 200m Individual Medley (2:30.80), a silver in the 100m freestyle (1:01.43) and a couple of bronzes in the 50m breaststroke (36.83) and 50m freestyle (28.67).
