Pacquiao, McGregor could fight in 2021 in Middle East; proceeds to go to COVID-19 victims in PH

Senator Manny Pacquiao will possibly face off with UFC champion Conor McGregor in 2021 in the Middle East, with part of the fight’s proceeds to go to victims of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the Philippines, his camp said on September 25.

McGregor—also known as The Irishman—recently posted a tweet saying that he would be fighting with Pacquiao next in the Middle East.” The senator’s special assistant Jayke Joson confirmed the statement, noting that the two are currently “getting ready for this one epic last boxing fight.”

“We don’t deny it,” Joson added, referring to the UFC star’s tweet.

The assistant added that negotiation between the two is currently ongoing, and that a huge portion of the money Pacquiao will earn from the fight will be donated to those affected by the pandemic.
