Among these, the supermarket conducts regular disinfection in all its stores. It has also instructed all its staff and employees to wear masks and change them on a regular basis to prevent any kind of infection.

Strictly adhering to the highest sanitation, the management reaffirms its principle that prevention should be the strongest line of defense in terms health safety standards, in compliance with government policies in this regard.

Their preventive measures begin in their distribution facilities. WeMart warehouses and other distribution facilities are proactively managed and maintained through regular disinfection, and with enough ventilation, sufficient space and facilities for appropriate storage of food and products.

“WeMart believes that the maintaining safe shopping environment does not start and end only in our stores. Instead, we also must be responsible in keeping the cleanliness and hygiene of our distribution facilities, even the transport of our goods from one place to another,” Xiao stressed.

Meanwhile, free hand sanitizers are available for free public consumption in WeMart Hypermarket and Baniyas branches.

As the public begins to flock to pharmacies and stores to buy masks, WeMart assures that they only sell genuine, yet affordable N95 (American Standard) and European standard FFP2 masks with the same level of protection.

WeMart reminds the public, however, that each customer is limited to one box only and a membership card is required when buying.
