5. How soon should I go to Canada once I get my PR?

You need to land in Canada within 6 months once your PR application is approved and entry visa is stamped in your passport. After landing you can wait for few weeks to collect your PR card or you can leave Canada and some friend/relative can mail you your PR card. Then, you are required to live in Canada for 730 days (2 years) in the next 5 years to retain your PR status.
