While many of us like having a lot of clothes so we can have different outfit-of-the-day (OOTD) posts, we have to admit it’s a little overboard and hard to sustain. Especially if we’re living overseas, one important thing to get a peaceful life is minimalism—and that means trying your limit your clothes to the amount the cabinet in your flat can afford.

But that does not mean that we can no longer be fashionable. The key to achieving a great sense of style is being smart. Mix and match your clothes to clothing and accessories that can be used in many seasons and in multiple ways, and you’re sure to get a lot of heads turning once you strut your way to work or your getaway!

Check out these fashion paraphernalia that you should invest in to be able to achieve power-dressing even if you’re practicing minimalism:

Reversible tops, dresses, or jackets

If you’re traveling, reversible clothes and jackets are a great space saver and help you travel light. Having reversible clothes makes it easy for you to mix and match your outfits and it helps you go from office to happy hour in a snap! It not only helps avoid same dress disasters, it’s also eco-friendly. It’s a win-win!

Clutches

If you have an elegant clutch that can double as your wallet, then you don’t have to go through the hassle of bringing a different one. Again, it solves the concern of space and bringing too much in a getaway or an event—formal or not.

 Scarves/sarongs

Perhaps one of the most popular fashion accessories is a scarf or a sarong. Whatever season it may be, a scarf can definitely help up your style game. It looks cool in summer over your top or dress, and it looks classy in winter with your coat and boots. It also helps your neck warm—a big check on the health area!

 Shades/Sunglasses

Sunglasses are the statement fashion accessory in general and most especially in the summer (although you can also use them on other seasons) because let’s face it, they make us look cool and mysterious. Even if you’re in a bikini, a dress, or winter clothes, wearing a sunglass will not let your fashion game down. And if you don’t want to wear it on your eyes, you can always wear it on top of your head and it still makes you look stylish.
