More Filipino-centric events to take place before 2019 ends

Filipinos are known to be very enthusiastic and engaged when it comes to attending events meant for them, especially those that highlight Filipino talents – may those be concerts, fashion shows, festivals, sporting events, and more.

This is exactly why David John, Managing Director at DJMC Events, saw it fitting to cater to the Filipino community spanning almost a million in numbers, as his company spearheads a diverse line up of events that Filipinos have been clamoring for.

“These events are intended for the Filipino community to make them feel at home in Dubai since they are away from the Philippines. This is our way of reaching out to the Filipino community,” said David as DJMC events has since been instrumental in bringing notable acts and popular individuals to the UAE.

A string of successful events
Among the successful events DJMC has held include the Limasawa Festival, a fashion show by Rene Salud, Momoland, Ariel Pineda, Janelle Salvador and Elmo Magalona, Kokoi Baldo with Engkanto Band, and more.

In a few weeks, they will be organizing Senator Manny Pacquiao’s Maharlika Pro Basketball League (MPBL) that will see some of the Philippines’ talented basketball players from regional, commercial, and barangay-level league teams event along with guest celebrity players with their MPBL teams: Derek Ramsay with Batangas City Tanduay Athletics, Gerald Anderson and Jayjay Helterbrand with Imus Bandera, Bobby Pacquiao, and the runner up of the previous season – the Davao Occidental Tigers.

“Filipinos have been really responsive when it comes to these events. Success isn’t merely measured by numbers – success is when people walk out happy during events. We, at DJMC events, serve the purpose to provide entertainment that Filipinos are looking for,” said David John.

More acts lined up
In the coming months, David said that his company is already in the works for booking more artists and organizing shows before the year ends: “We will invite a Korean boyband, as well as a Filipino band to visit Dubai in the next four months.”

With more shows lined up for the Filipino community to enjoy, David hopes that Filipinos continue to strive hard as they work for their families back home while not forgetting to reward themselves as well for the good work that they do. “These events are meant for Filipinos to unwind and relax. Dubai is a home for many Filipinos and they should feel at home while they’re here,” said David.
