SAVEX brings tons of savings to customers over the weekend

SAVEX, one of Dubai’s mega sale events that features many well-known brands, was welcomed with great joy by thousands of shoppers from Dubai and the UAE as it provided them with an opportunity to purchase top quality branded items at low prices.

The event which took place at the Sheikh Saeed Hall 2 at the Dubai World Trade Centre from January 8 to 12 had many shoppers going to and from many different shops as they searched for the best items with affordable, pocket-friendly price tags at an expanded area compared to its last edition.

“SAVEX had expanded from 3,500 square meters of shopping last year to 5,000 square meters this year.” said Mr. Kamal, Exhibition Organizer. The growth stems from UAE retailers looking to keep the newest stock on hand to attract more customers, and increasingly budget-conscious shoppers. “The downturn definitely has had an impact,” Mr. Kamal said. “What you would have perhaps bought for $100, you want more value for that $100 today.” The brands involved in this event were Reiss, Koton, Bebe, Splash, BCBG, TedLapidus, RaymondWeil, Splendid, Armani Jeans, MontBlanc, TomFord, MaxFactor, Boujouris, The Kooples, Diesel, Okaidi, Maje and many more.

As per customer experience, Ms. Riya Sharma a 35-year-old Dubai housewife, drove across the city to shop at the exhibition and walked away with two designer gowns, three pairs of shoes and a branded perfume, all for just over Dh500 (US$135). “I think it’s worth the travel just to buy something affordable and branded at the same time.” Ms. Riya Sharma said. “At this time, when with the credit crunch everyone is trying not to spend so much, deals like these are good.”

More deals and bargains will be on the way as SAVEX plans to hold more events following the huge success of its latest edition. “Start your research early and begin to get a feeling for how much you would usually pay. When the discounts hit on these days, you will be much more prepared to throw down, if you know it is a good deal. That is exactly what Savex is all about,” said the company in an announcement.

Interested shoppers who plan to search for great deals on fashion, beauty, and lifestyle can follow SAVEX on their social media platforms on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter and their website: Savex.ae
