WATCH: Pinoy kids perform folk dance at NBA game

Filipinos’ deep love for basketball, along with their appreciation of the rich Filipino culture came together during a recent NBA game.

In celebration of the Filipino Heritage Night, The Golden State Warriors recognized their Filipino fans with a halftime performance during a home game against the Detroit Pistons on Sunday, October 29. (Monday, Manila time)

Filipino-American kids from the American Center of Philippine Arts performed a medley of Filipino folk dances including the Bulaklakan and the Pasiguin, a dance representing fishes getting out from fishnets.

The special event aims to celebrate the supportive Filipino community in the state as well as nurture the Filipino identity of immigrant Filipinos through the arts.

The Pistons stunned with a 115-107 victory over the defending champions.

Another Filipino Heritage Night will be held on March 2018, when Golden State faces against Utah Jazz at the Oracle Arena in California.
