Miss Earth-Belarus Polli Cannabis expressed her sadness when she realized her phone was missing while visiting a mall in Manila Oct. 14 with other candidates and a security escort.
Cannabis’ team manager told ABS-CBN News the representative from Belarus excluded herself from the group and went to a shop alone.
The team manager believed that is where her phone was snatched.
The management of the Miss Earth event have already coordinated with the Manila Police District to solve the case with the help of CCTV footages in the area where Cannabis’ phone was believed to have been stolen.
The security for the candidates will be stricter as the pageant date draws closer.
The Miss Earth 2017 will be held on November 4 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
