The first car designed and built in the UAE has been shipped to Lyon, France for display in an exhibition.
Emirates SkyCargo, the freight division of Emirates, flew the Design-1 sports car to Lyon, where it is now on display at the prestigious ‘24 hours of Le Mans’ endurance race.
Jannarelly Automotive with Equation Composites LLC, the first car manufacturer in the UAE, built the lightweight retro-futuristic car using hi-tech composite materials.
The car priced at Dh257,000 ($70,000) to Dh330,600 ($90,000) can be built according to customer specification.
