Manulife’s newest commercial went on an all-out roundtrip on the internet, triggering lots of laughs, then taking all of us for a surprise spin aboard the feels train.

The video showed a comedian recounting how hilariously disastrous his first outing into the world of stand-up comedy came about.

I used to be a banker, it was my dream job,” he recalled. “Because I was always dreaming in my job.”

In a follow-up, the ad’s lead confessed how he got fired right after from his “banking job”, delivering the news of his termination and new found calling to his unemotional yet “supportive” Dad who responded with, “Mahirap iyang ginagawa mo. Bira lang nang bira.”

With all jokes aside, Manulife chose to end the video with a moving message for all the big dreamers out there, “”Find someone who believes in your dreams.”

The video has since accumulated almost 1.5 million views and 29,000 likes on Facebook.
