An online contract verification system launched by the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) has helped nearly 42,000 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in Dubai and the Northern Emirates complete their verification process faster and with greater convenience since its launch.
Through the initiative called “Save Time. Go Online,” introduced in June 2022, OFWs can submit their work contracts, passports, visas, or Emirates IDs online, reducing the need for in-person visits.
Managed by the DMW’s Migrant Workers Office (MWO) in Dubai, the system works alongside existing verification methods such as walk-ins and scheduled appointments.
Migrant Workers Secretary Hans Leo J. Cacdac highlighted that this digital system aligns with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s push for more efficient and accessible government services, especially for domestic and low-skilled OFWs.
OFWs can upload their documents from Monday at 8:00 AM to Wednesday at 11:59 PM, or until slots are filled. MWO Dubai processes applications within two weeks, and workers are notified via email once their contracts are approved. On their scheduled collection date, they can pay and retrieve their verified contracts in just five to fifteen minutes, significantly cutting down waiting time.
The service is available to all OFWs with valid visas from Dubai and the Northern Emirates. OFWs are encouraged to use the online portal at mwodubai.org/apply-here and follow the official MWO Dubai Facebook page for updates.
