Lone bettor from Lucena bags Php58.7M from Lotto 6/45 draw

A lucky, lone bettor became Php 58.7M richer overnight in the Philippines, after getting the correct six-digit combination of the Mega Lotto 6/45 draw on September 23, Friday.

The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced Saturday that the instant millionaire selected the numbers 34-24-07-44-21-38, winning a total jackpot prize of PHPP58,796,739.

The ticket was purchased in the city of Lucena, Quezon.

By presenting the winning ticket and two identification cards, the bettor can claim the check at the PCSO’s main office in Mandaluyong City.

Lotto winnings of more than PHP10,000 are subject to a 20% tax under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion law.

Seventeen others received PHP32,000 each for correctly guessing five of the six winning digits, while 949 received PHP1,000 each for four correct digits and 18,059 received PHP30 each for three correct digits.

This is the second time that a player won the jackpot prize of the government’s lottery games, after a A Valenzuela City bettor won the Lotto 6/4 2pot of PHP56 million last September 15.

The PCSO urged the public to support its games in order to raise more funds for health programs, medical assistance and services, and charitable organizations.

Unclaimed prizes will be forfeited after a year.
