A contract between Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and Capital Express for Rapid Intercity passenger transportation between Dubai and Abu Dhabi International Airport has been inked (Terminals 1,2,3).
The service will run an express bus route between Dubai’s Ibn Battuta Bus Station and Abu Dhabi International Airport.
Currently, Wizz Air passengers are the only ones who may use this service. The bus fee will be included in the Wizz Air tickets. On this route, coach buses will have passenger baggage facilities.
In accordance with the agreement, RTA will supply the infrastructure and parking spaces required to enable the service within the emirate of Dubai via Ibn Battuta Bus Station. As the service provider, Capital Express For Rapid Intercity will be in charge of ensuring the safety of passengers traveling on their buses from Ibn Battuta Bus Station to Abu Dhabi International Airport and vice versa while RTA monitors and oversees the operation at Ibn Battuta Bus Station to ensure the well-being of all passengers at the station.

Ahmed Hashim Bahrozyan, CEO, Public Transport Agency, RTA, expressed his satisfaction over the signing of the agreement with Capital Express For Rapid Intercity, which will greatly enhance Dubai-Abu Dhabi transport services, as well as those for travelers departing from Abu Dhabi International Airport.
“Joining forces with the private sector will strengthen RTA’s public-private partnership, which RTA always seeks to undertake as a means of exchanging experiences and enhancing its public service offerings. It comprises the extension and enhancement of UAE’s transport network by offering bus services within cities, including Abu Dhabi. Through the agreement, Abu Dhabi International Airport will be connected with Dubai’s Ibn Battuta Bus Station, RTA and Capital Express For Rapid Intercity will cooperate to lift passengers between the two emirates, and Capital Express will provide buses to transport passengers between Dubai’s Ibn Battuta Station and Abu Dhabi International Airport,” Bahrozyan said.
For his part, Eyad Ishaq Al Ansari, CEO, Capital Express For Rapid Intercity, said, “Direct connectivity between both emirates’ vital regions, including Abu Dhabi International Airport, will attract more tourists visiting Abu Dhabi and provide travel facilities that will enhance the experience of both tourists and aviation alike.”
