The Al Ain Court of First Instance fined a man for duping another by promising to cancel traffic offenses.
In a case demanding that the appellee employee pay him AED 10,265, the Court ordered the employee to pay a man AED 11,765 after deluding him of his power to dismiss offenses lodged against him, including traffic penalties.
This was in addition to AED 10,000 in compensation for the losses he suffered, as well as legal costs and expenditures.

It was stated that the appellee misled him by saying that he could cancel penalties against him. This includes traffic violations AED 18,000. The man took AED 10,265 from the appellee but did not follow through on his commitment.
The appellee was convicted of the incident under a criminal ruling and charged with seizing the complainant’s money by fraudulent means.
