Filipino lawyer John Albert “Jal” Laylo received a job offer to work in the Philippine Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) before being shot dead in the US, his family said.
Laylo’s family confirmed that DMW Secretary Susan “Toots” Ople had offered the position.
His mother, Leah, said Leah was close to Ople, who offered him a staff position at the DMW.
