UAE to intensify indoor inspections with AED 3,000 fine for violators

In an attempt to reduce the number of COVID-19 cases, the UAE authorities have warned of AED 3,000 fine for not wearing masks in indoor areas.

Authorities stressed that they will intensify the mask rule for indoor settings to curb the spread of the pandemic.

According to the Public Prosecution Decision No (38) the facemask mandate will be applied from Wednesday, June 15, 2022.

However, those in the educational sector and students will have to wear masks from Monday, June 20 due to examinations.

A significant increase in the number of cases of COVID-19 in the country has been witnessed with the cases rising by 100% in less than a week.

The other guidelines circulated besides wearing facemasks in closed places are to  avoid crowds, observance of SOPs in the destination country and periodic health checks.
