Vice Presidential candidate Rizalito David has officially endorsed the candidacy of his rival Tito Sotto saying the veteran lawmaker is the best man for the job.
In an interview on CNN Philippines, David said that despite his endorsement he will not back out from the race.
David said Sotto has contributed a lot to the Catholic Church by opposing the passage of laws allowing same sex marriage, divorce and abortion.

“Yes I am. I am asking the Bishops, the priests, and all Catholics to support him because he is the best man for the job,” he said when asked if he is officially endorsing Sotto.
“Una, he’s a very decent person, he’s a gentleman. In so far as all the candidates for the vice presidency is concerned, he is the most experienced among us in terms of governance,” he added.
David said Sotto’s pro-life stand resonates to what he believe in.

“He loves his family. He listens to his wife. He’s a gentleman, he is a family man. Sa akin, kumbaga sa grupo namin na tumatakbo ngayon, siya ang may pinakamagandang record na dapat tulungan,” David said.
“I am not withdrawing,” he clarified.
