Social media giant Facebook has suspended the account of Vic Rodriguez, the spokesperson of presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos.
“FB/Meta suspended my account because I am for Bongbong Marcos,” Rodriguez told reporters in a text message.
“This is censorship of the highest degree and interference on a sovereign act,” he added.

Based on the screenshots of Rodriguez’s account, Facebook said that it will be suspending his account for 30 days. Rodriguez also has a month to disagree with the decision.
“You have 30 days after we first took action on your account to disagree that your account will be permanently disabled. There are 30 days,” Facebook said.
Facebook also wants Rodriguez to submit an official ID so that the account will be verified.
As of April 26, Tuesday, Facebook has already reinstated Rodriguez’ account.
