A former British boxer is facing a life sentence in the Philippines for running a gang in the country.
Darren Wall, 44, allegedly led a gang involved in kidnapping, extortion, drug trafficking and gun running after moving to the Philippines’ capital five years ago and had recently married a former bar-girl Khanary Jane Abejo, 23, before the couple got arrested in a nightclub in Manila’s Poblacion red-light district.

Wall was accused of assault and brandishing a gun in the club and was reportedly found with six grams of cocaine and a 9mm Beretta pistol.
Several media reports quoted police as saying that Wall is facing a life sentence of 18 years without parole if found guilty of drug dealing and possessing a handgun
Police Colonel Michael Villanueva has said that Wall had at least five corrupt police officers on his payroll.
