Private hospitals are now considering not to accept Philhealth claims for five days beginning January 1-5, 2022.
Private Hospitals Association of the Philippines President Dr. Jose De Grano says that this is their way of supporting private hospitals who have disengaged from Philhealth.

The FEU hospital and other hospitals in Iloilo announced their separation from Philhealth over unpaid claims.
“We will show that we support these hospitals as we encourage our members to observe a PhilHealth holiday,” De Grano said in an Inquirer report.

Philhealth appeals for hospitals to reconsider its decision on the supposed holiday.
“Eventually it will be the Filipino people who will suffer the consequences of such a call,” Philhealth said. (TDT)
