The Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee has updated measures for hosting indoor and outdoor social events and family celebrations, effective 27 December 2021.
The updates include reducing the operating capacity of social events such as weddings, funerals and family gatherings, to a maximum of 60%, while attendees should not exceed 50 for indoor activities, 150 for outdoor and open-air activities and a maximum of 50 for social events at home.
Entry to social events, as per the updated measures, requires adherence to existing precautionary measures, including showing a green pass on Alhosn App and presenting a negative PCR test result received within 48 hours and wearing masks while observing physical distancing protocol.
The committee will also increase inspection and monitoring to ensure compliance with all preventive and precautionary measures.
It has also urged the public to continue observing precautionary measures by avoiding crowded places, wearing masks that cover both nose and mouth, and practising physical distancing by keeping at least 2 meters apart, and regularly washing and sanitising hands.
Those eligible should receive a booster vaccine dose, and maintain green status on Alhosn App through regular PCR testing, said the Committee.
