COVID-positive Filipino who escaped from quarantine facility found dead seawall

A man who escaped from a quarantine facility was found in a seawall in Bacolod City before. The body was found naked.

The man was found dead at a seawall at Brgy. Pahanocoy last Tuesday, reported the Daily Guardian. It later turned out that he had been infected with the COVID-19.

He reportedly escaped from a school-based quarantine facility in Tangub village last Oct. 30.

According to Police Major Joery Puerto, head of Police Station 8, the victim was identified the victim as Tadeo Santia-on, 40, of Bago City, Negros Occidental. 

A foreman saw the victim on Oct 31 inside a hut, but when he tried to approach him the victim ran.

The man’s family identified his remains.
