Marcos secures big lead in PUBLiCUS Asia presidential election survey

Former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr has got a lead in the presidential elections in the electoral surveys.

The third quarter presidential survey of PUBLiCUS Asia has authenticated the results of the series of ‘kalye’ (street) surveys conducted in the first two weeks of October, the former lawmaker’s camp said on Sunday.

In a statement, Marcos’ camp said that the survey released by PUBLiCUS Asia on Friday gave the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) leader a big lead in the 2022 national elections.

“Both the scientific and real-time street surveys also confirmed that Bongbong is widely chosen by the respondents as their Best Bet for president in next year’s elections,” it said.

In PUBLiCUS’ Pahayag survey Marcos was up ahead of other presidential aspirants. In the National Capital Region, Marcos got 40 percent of the votes and in North and Central Luzon he got 55.7 percent.

In South Luzon, he obtained 38.2 percent while in the Visayas the political leader secured 44.7 percent and clocked 62.5 percent voter preference in Mindanao.

He has got a total presidential preference vote of 49.3 percent followed by Vice President Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo with 21.3 percent, Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso with 8.8 percent, Panfilo “Ping” Lacson with 2.9 percent, and Sen. Emmanuel “Manny” Pacquiao with 2.8 percent.

Marcos has dominated the Kalye Surveys conducted by different vloggers in various parts of Metro Manila and in Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon from October 1 to 11. (AW)
