WATCH: Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid approves Hatta master development plan for tourism

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai has officially approved the Hatta Master Development Plan for the promotion of tourism in the emirate.

The plan is part of a more comprehensive and integral part of the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid said that they were looking at making Hatta a distinctive tourist destination to attract people for “recreational, health and environmental tourism.”

He said that their goal was to support the youth and benefit from their capabilities and innovative ideas.

Sheikh Mohammed said that they were looking at “unlocking the true social and economic potential of the area.”

“Teams will soon embark on a cohort of projects and initiatives, and our partners in the private sector will play a key role in driving investments that generate promising employment prospects in Hatta,” he said in a tweet.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s remarks came during a visit to Hatta accompanied by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council; H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Finance; H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Media Council; H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum; and Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs. (AW)
