An expatriate in Dubai is facing a court case for attempting to kill his girlfriend.
The 24-year-old Asian man is facing trial in Dubai for attempted murder.
As per the police investigation, the man had attempted to strangle his girlfriend while using her scarf until she lost consciousness.
The victim had been left for dead but regained her consciousness.
The police had referred the accused to the Dubai Criminal Court on charges of attempted murder which is a punishable felony under the UAE Federal Penal Code.
