Authorities in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah have restricted the attendance at public events to only those who are vaccinated against COVID-19.
The Emirate’s Government Media Office has ordered that the attendance to exhibitions, social, cultural and artistic events will be restricted to those who have received both doses of a COVID-19 vaccine within six months.
In case of elderly and those with chronic diseases, the second dose should have been taken within three months and the vaccination status has to be verified on AlHosn app.
The attendees should present a negative result of a PCR test conducted within 48 hours of an event.
Relaxing restriction measures, authorities have ordered that events can have an increased capacity of 60 per cent, wedding halls 60 per cent to a maximum of 300 guests.
The emirate has also increased capacity of public spaces with the directive that the hotels can operate at full capacity after social distancing and mask use rules are implemented while capacity at restaurants and shopping malls has been increased to 80 per cent, ten people allowed to sit at a table in restaurants, entertainment venues, exhibitions, museums and cinemas will have an increased capacity of 80 per cent while social distancing of two metres must be maintained at places of worship and public transport capacity has been raised to 75 per cent.
