BOQ: No appointments for yellow cards until December 2021

The Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ) said that securing appointments for a yellow card or vaccination certificates will only be available by December 2021. 

In a report on GMA News, the BOQ website said that the earliest appointment schedule will be sometime in December. 

Hong Kong recently said that it will start accepting overseas Filipino workers with yellow cards as proof of vaccination. It previously rejected cards issued in the Philippines over lack of authenticity. 

BOQ Deputy Director Roberto Salvador appealed to the public to secure yellow cards only if they have a confirmed flight.

“Nakikisuyo po sana kami na yun po munang may immediate need ng yellow card yung mga paalis na may confirmed flight yun na lang po muna mag-book,” he said. 

BOQ also warned fixers who will be offering appointment slots. 

The yellow cards cost around P370. 

It’s being recognized by 196 countries who are signatory-countries of the World Health Organization.
