The authorities in UAE have announced new fines for those who break COVID regulations.

A fine of AED 20,000 will be incurred for cheating or providing incorrect information to evade quarantine. This also applies to people deliberately not disclosing the details of individuals coming into the country from abroad or employers who fail to report workers who have tested positive for COVID-19 to health authorities.

Also fake news will attract the fine of AED 20,000 for promoting or publishing coronavirus related rumors or misleading information about Covid-19 precautionary measures.

Anyone conducting medical tests to detect COVID-19 without obtaining approval from the relevant authorities can also be fined AED 20,000, and the penalty doubles if the violation is repeated.
