Dubai Metro has announced it is extending its operation hours on August 20 and 27 to accommodate passengers arriving at the Dubai International Airport.
In an advisory, the Roads and Transport Authority said that the operating hours for the Dubai Metro will be from 10 a.m. to 3 a.m. (next day) on August 20 and 27.
This is an extension of two hours for the rail’s usual operations and applies for both the Red and Green lines.
“For all passengers arriving at Dubai International Airport, #DubaiMetro will operate for 2 extra hours on Friday, August 20th from 10 AM until 3 AM (next day), and August 27th from 10 AM until 3 AM (next day) for your comfort,” the RTA said in a tweet.

The extension was implemented amid the expected influx of passengers arriving in the emirate during the summer holidays.
The Dubai International Airport earlier said it is expecting more than a million people between August 12 to 22.
