Manila Mayor Isko Moreno on Thursday expressed his condolences to the family ex-president Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III.
In a statement, Moreno mourns the death of the former President whom he described as pragmatic.
“PNoy was a pragmatic man who did the best with the cards that life had dealt him. He inspired us with his unexpected humility,” he said.

Moreno furthered Aquino championed good governance and work hard to make the Philippines the fastest-growing economy in Asia during his term.
“He championed good governance reforms that promoted efficiency and reduced opportunities for corruption,” he added.
Moreno hoped that Aquino’s legacy will continue to lead others on the right path.
Aquino, 61, is the 15th president of the Philippines was the son of former presidents and democracy icons Ninoy and Cory Aquino.
